The Sunnyside Swap Meet has been closed by the city.
There's a "condition" of our zoning that was found by the city that will not allow a swap meet on the property.
Imagine our surprise to learn that a place where the swap meet ran for over 20 years has a "condition" prohibiting such use.
If that's not bad enough, it was written over 30 years ago! How is that even possible?
We've asked for a temporary permit on several occasions and, although they all promised to "get back to us", no one did.
The condition can easily be removed by the city council if they agree and vote in favor of it so we must wait a month for that chance
Our council meeting is at CITY HALL on THURSDAY, DEC. 1st at 8:30am. WE NEED YOU THERE!!!
